كلمتين بالنسبة لعبد الكسير في مخيم جنين، وفي جنين وفي الضفة الغربية اللي بتعمله السلطة هو عار على المشروع الوطني والفلسطيني أنا عشان أعرفكم بحالي اسمي محسن مهداوي، ابن مخيم الفارعة تربيت وانولدت وأهلي لازالوا في المخيم الفارعة وقسم من أهلي موجودين في مخيم جنين وقسم من أهلي موجودين في مخيم بلاطة وعشان أعرفكم بزيادة عن نفسي، أنا إحدى المؤسسين للحراكة الطلابي اللي صار الفصل اللي فات، والانتشر في العالم كله يأتوا بلشنا من جامعة كولومبيا اللي بتعمله السلطة هو الصفعة في وجه المقاومة سواء كانت مقاومة مسلحة في الضفة الغربية أو في غزة أو المقاومة الشعبية اللي إحنا بلشناها ولازلنا فيها بخارج الوطن، في الشتاء المرحلة اللي بتوعد فيها ابن غفير وسموتريج ونيتنياهو إن هم يأخذوا الضفة كاملة تعمل السلطة، بتكون السلطة في هذا العمل الشنيع بغض النظر عن شو المتطلبات، بغض النظر عن شو رؤية تبعتك الموضوع ما بيمشي بهالطريقة هذا اللي بتقدمه للمخيمات، المخيمات اللي ضحى واللي لا زالت بتضحي من 75 سنة المخيمات اللي وضعها أصعب الأوضاع اللي أنتوا بتشوفوها هذا اللي بتقدمه للمخيمات، المخيمات اللي هي قلب المقاومة وقلب النضال أنتوا 75 سنة وإحنا عايشين في المخيمات، جيل رابع بن ولد في المخيمات شو اللي قدمته للمخيمات؟ عيب عليكم بدل ما أنكم تقدموا الأمن والأمان للناس من الاحتلال اللي بيدخل على البيوت بهدها بيقتل أهلها، هذا اللي بتقدمه للمخيمات، المخيمات اللي هي قلب النضال في الضفة الغربية وفي غزة، المخيمات اللي لها صانبة 75 سنة المخيمات اللي قدمت أولادها، دماءها، تضحيات للشعب تيجوا هيك ترفعوا السلاح في وجه أهالي المخيمات؟ عيب وبتكذبوا وبتقولوا أن أهل المخيمات بدهم الأمان طبعا أهل المخيمات بدهم الأمان، بس أهل المخيمات أنتوا مش حاسين في المعاناتهم المسئولين، مسئولين السلطة، أنتوا عايشين في بيوت، في غلل، في حياة كريمة في سيارات فخمة، في دخل كبير، أهل المخيمات بيعانوا أهل المخيمات لازالوا لليوم بيبكوا على أولادهم اللي استشهدوا أنا وعمري 11 سنة استشهد عمي فائر، فائر مهداوي، واللي هو كان ابن السلطة عمي فائر لما استشهد كان عنده ولد عمره ثلاث سنين قال لا ابنه بدرس في الجامعة وبدرس طب لما تواصل لأنه يأخذ منح من السلطة لدراسته، السلطة ما تعرفت عليه ولا أعطته أي منح للدراسة وأنا لما رحت على الجامعة ما كان فيه منح لطلاب المخيمات هاي الطريقة اللي أنتوا بتتعرف فيها على المخيمات بالعربدة والسطوة وقوة السلاح إحنا ما بنعرف، إحنا بنعرف اللي بيدخل على المخيمات في قوة السلاح وفي السطوة هو عدو ما بيصير أنكم تتصرفوا كأبناء جلدتنا كسلطة وطنية تدخلوا على المخيمات في نفس الطريقة وفي نفس الوقت اللي الجيش الإسرائيلي بيدخل وبيقتل أولادنا وبيعتقلهم وبيهد البيوت عيل هاي الاشي اللي بتقدموه للمخيمات ابن عمتي ميسرة مشارقة استشهد من شهرين تقريباً الجيش أخذوا جثته، الجيش أخذوا جثته رجعوها، رجعوها لأهله، لعمتي، لأهلي على أساس يقدروا يشوفوه ويدفنوه هاي اللي بتقدموه ابن خالتي في مخيم جنيم، وليد أبو الكامل، نفس الموضوع استشهد والجيش الإسرائيلي أخذ جثته هاي اللي بتقدموه لأهله، للمخيمات، وين الدعم؟ لا دعم تعليمي، ولا دعم مادي، ولا دعم صحي، ولا دعم أمني في قدامكم مليون مشروع ممكن ينعمل وحتى لو أنكم أنتوا شايفين أن هاي مهمة أساسية لحماية الوطن زي ما بتتفضلوا مش بهالطريقة بتصير خد ضمانات أول إشي، ضمانات من الدول، ضمانات من أمريكا، ضمانات من الأمم المتحدة أنه الجيش الإسرائيلي ما يدخل على مناطق المخيمات وما يقتل ولاد المخيمات، وما يعتقل ولاد المخيمات بناءً على أي أساس أنت بدك تعمل هيك ودم أهلنا في غزة عم بينسف لهلا إبادة جماعية على أي أساس بدك تعمل هيك وجعنا وجرحنا للسمال تام بتحط عليه ملح بزيادة؟ عيب هذا الكلام ما تحطوا الشعب ضد الشعب وأبناء السلطة، أبناء الأجهزة الأمنية هم ولاد الشعب بدل ما أنكم أنتوا تتهجموا على المخيمات لازم أنتوا تلموا الناس تلموا الناس، تقربوا قلوبها لبعض تساعدوا الناس في معيشتها تساعدوا الناس في أمنها تساعدوا الناس في تعليمها أهالي المخيمات اللي عاموا ولا زالوا بيعانوا وهذا ما تحط على سر السلطة أنهم ييجوا ويقمعوا ويقتلوا أبناء المخيمات ويجذبوا أنهم يقولوا هدولة خارجين عن القانون بدل ما أنهم يحكوا هدول مقاومين فيه قدامك بليون مشروع المشروع الأول جيب ضمانات دولية ضمانات دولية للفلسطينيين أنهم يعيشوا بأمان وبكرامة أنه الإسرائيليين ما يجوا يقروا الضفة الغربية كاملة المشروع الثاني عزز السمود في الضفة الغربية بدل ما تروحوا على المخيمات صلحوا الفساد اللي في السلطة الفساد اللي نخرها نخر المسئولين الموجودين اللي في السلطة بدل ما تدخلوا على المخيمات اعملوا انتخابات في الضفة بدل ما تدخلوا على المخيمات عززوا التعليم والسمود وعطونا خطة بديلة شو خطتكم البديلة؟ لا يوجد خطة بديلة. الخطة البديلة التي تعملون بها الآن فعليها تقول إسرائيل كملوا في ما تعملون به سوف نقمع ونسحب المقاومين ونسجن المقاومين لكي تأخذوا الضفة الغربية على طبق من ذهب أي خيانة للقضية الفلسطينية لا ياسر عرفات ولا أبو علي مصطفى ولا أحمد يسين ولا ران تيسي ولا فتح الشيكاقي بيرضى عن اللي أنتوا بتعملوا فيه بكفي إذا بدكم حل مع المخيمات الحل لازم يكون سلمي لازم يكون فيه مصالحة لازم يكون فيه مفاوضات إنه نحدد المصار مع بعض مش المسؤولين المستفدين اللي عايشين حياة رفاهية يحددوا مصير الشعب الفلسطيني أهل المخيمات هم أكثر الناس بيعانوا وأهل المخيمات من حقهم إنهم يقرروا مصيرهم مش بالقمع ولا بالسطوة ولا بالسلاح إذا واحد بده يقرر عن أهل المخيمات تعالوا عيش في المخيم زيك زي ناس التانين إشعروا بمعاناتهم قدموا الشهداء حس في الألم والوجع اللي بيعيشوا فيه أهم مشروع بالنسبة لنا هو وحدة الشعب الفلسطيني واحده الصف استلحوا مع حماس اجتمعوا مع كل الأحزاب الفلسطينية على أساس نحدد خطة واضحة للتحرير الاشي الثاني امنعوا المستوطنين من الترهيب ومن القتل ومن الاعتداءات والهجوم اللي بيعملوا على الفلسطينيين هاي أهم من انك تدخل على المخيمات إرهاب المستوطنين عزل السمود الفلسطيني بالزراعة والصناعة والاقتصاد والتعليم بكفي ما تقودونا لحرب أهلية وتقسمونا بزيادة عن التقسيم اللي احنا مقسمين فيه وتقودوا المشروع الوطني والفلسطيني للدمار وحدوا الصف جمعوا الكلوب اعملوا خطة  للتحرير وساعدوا أهل المخيمات وهي هي

I want to say a few words about what is happening in Jenin refugee camp, in Jenin, and across the West Bank.

What the Palestinian Authority is doing is a disgrace to the Palestinian national cause.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Mohsen Mahdawi. I am from Al-Far’a refugee camp. I was born and raised there, and my family still lives there. Some of my relatives are in Jenin camp, and others are in Balata camp.

To tell you a little more about myself, I was one of the founders of the student movement that emerged last semester and went on to spread around the world. We started at Columbia University.

What the Authority is doing is a betrayal of the resistance—whether that resistance is armed resistance in the West Bank and Gaza, or the popular movement that we began and continue to build abroad.

At a time when Ben-Gvir, Smotrich and Netanyahu openly speak of taking over the entire West Bank, the Authority is carrying out this shameful campaign. Whatever your objectives may be, whatever your political vision may be, this is not the way to pursue it.

Is this what you offer the refugee camps? Camps that have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice after seventy-five years? Camps that endure some of the harshest living conditions imaginable?

These camps have been at the heart of Palestinian resistance and struggle. For seventy-five years we have lived in them. We are now the fourth generation born in the camps. What have you done for them?

Shame on you.

Instead of protecting people from an occupation that raids homes, demolishes them, arrests people and kills them, this is what you offer?

These camps have given their sons, their blood and their sacrifices for the Palestinian people, and now you point your weapons at the people of the camps?

And then you claim that the people of the camps simply want security. Of course they want security. But you have no understanding of their suffering.

Officials of the Palestinian Authority live comfortably—in villas, with luxury cars and generous incomes—while the people of the camps struggle every day.

Families in the camps are still mourning their dead.

When I was eleven years old, my uncle Fayer Mahdawi was killed. He left behind a three-year-old son. Years later, when that son was studying medicine and sought support from the Authority, they neither recognised him nor offered him any assistance. When I myself went to university, there were no scholarships available for students from the camps.

Is this how you treat the camps—with intimidation, coercion and armed force?

We know that when someone enters a camp using force and weapons, that person is an enemy.

It is unacceptable for a national authority—our own people—to enter the camps in the same manner and at the same time that the Israeli army enters them, killing our young people, arresting them and demolishing homes.

Is this what you offer the camps?

My relative Maysara Masharqa was killed about two months ago. The Israeli army seized his body before eventually returning it to his family so they could bury him.

My relative Waleed Abu al-Kamel from Jenin camp suffered the same fate.

Where is the support for these families? Where is the educational support, the financial support, the healthcare support, the security support?

There are countless things you could be doing instead.

Even if you genuinely believe that this operation is necessary to protect the homeland, this is not the way to do it.

First secure guarantees—from governments, from the United States, from the United Nations—that Israeli forces will not enter the camps, kill their children and arrest their youth.

On what basis are you carrying out this campaign while our people in Gaza continue to endure what we see as a genocide?

Our wounds are already deep. Why are you making them worse?

Do not turn Palestinians against one another.

Members of the Authority and the security services are also sons of the Palestinian people.

Instead of attacking the camps, bring people together. Unite them. Help them in their daily lives. Help them with their security. Help them with their education.

The people of the camps have suffered for generations. The role of the Authority should not be to suppress them, kill them, and label them criminals instead of resistance fighters.

There are many other priorities before you.

First, obtain international guarantees that Palestinians can live in safety and dignity and that the West Bank will not be taken from them.

Second, strengthen Palestinian resilience in the West Bank.

Instead of targeting the camps, confront the corruption that has hollowed out the Authority.

Hold elections.

Invest in education and resilience.

Give us an alternative vision. What is your alternative plan?

There is none.

The policy you are pursuing today effectively tells Israel: continue what you are doing. We will suppress the resistance, disarm resistance fighters and imprison them, making it easier for you to take the West Bank.

No one who devoted their life to the Palestinian cause—neither Yasser Arafat, Abu Ali Mustafa, Ahmed Yassin nor Fathi Shaqaqi—would have accepted what you are doing.

Enough.

If there is to be a solution in the camps, it must be achieved through dialogue, reconciliation and negotiation. The future of the Palestinian people should not be decided by officials living privileged lives far removed from the realities faced by ordinary Palestinians.

The people of the camps suffer more than anyone else, and they have the right to determine their own future—not through repression, intimidation or force.

If you want to decide the future of the camps, then come and live in the camps. Experience their hardships. Feel the pain they live with every day.

The most important task before us is Palestinian unity.

Unite the Palestinian ranks. Reconcile with Hamas. Bring together all Palestinian factions and agree on a clear strategy for liberation.

Stop settler violence, intimidation, attacks and killings directed at Palestinians.

That should be a far greater priority than sending forces into the camps.

Strengthen Palestinian resilience through agriculture, industry, economic development and education.

Enough. Do not drag us into civil conflict. Do not deepen the divisions that already exist among us. Do not destroy the Palestinian national project.

Unite the people. Bring hearts together. Develop a strategy for liberation. Support the people of the camps.
